North Hollywood Realtor’s Advice on How to Deal with a Landlord’s Foreclosure

North Hollywood Realtor offers advice to check if your landlord is in danger of foreclosure before deciding to rent.

Arrange to be notified of this. In most states, a tenant can ask for a notice for default. By signing up for this, you know about any foreclosure notice from mortgaging companies.

3 ½ months to complete a foreclosure is good time for the tenant to start looking for a new home. Tenants usually have a minimum of 90 days to move.

Once the home has passed to the lender, tactics may be used to force tenants out early. One way for quick vacating is to do ‘cash for keys’ where the tenant gets enough money for a month’s rent and security deposit on a new home.
